I have heard time’s echoes –

Travelling the hours back from you,

the sound that is my true Home –

many miles and minutes away,

I have heard time whisper –

through the winds that once Touched you,

the chilling seconds of clock,

that tell me a thousand more days,

I have seen time pace itself—

letting kilometers lose inches,

and feet gain meters –

all the while bringing me Closer to you.
